It's almost over!

WELCOME TO WEEK 37! First and foremost, happy belated Easter to you all! :)
I hope your holiday was full of family and faith. Ours definitely was...

as we spent Saturday hunting eggs with all Ansleigh & Aidan's cousins..

They had so much fun searching for the 100+ eggs we hid at Aunt Fallon & Uncle Chris' house!

Secondly, WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE? Our 37 week appointment was this morning, and what a doozy.

Dr. Diamond said everything "looked" good, although he didn't do any actual looking just yet (we'll save that for next week). We heard Alivia's heartbeat, that sweet, sweet music, and everything seems to be going smoothly. He also told me that I had "dropped," which I could already tell based on this week's picture vs. last week's. We talked about the future, which is rapidly becoming the present, and although we won't know anything definitely until next Tuesday at 10:30 we might possibly have a baby much sooner than April 25th. Scary? Yes. Exciting? Yes.

I'm adding some pics of our baby girl's room... it's almost finished. ALMOST! Haha. Maybe (hopefully) it will be ready by the time she decides to arrive.

I've just put the kids to bed for the night and the house and Burnamville are equally quiet. With my husband gone to Savannah to take his insurance exam in the morning (good luck, babe!), Grandpa & Grandma gone to Jamaica for the week, Aunt Nicole not staying around tonight (she's due with baby Reese at the end of May, plus she has Jase to deal with) and my sister gone to the beach for a few days, I am a nervous wreck. It hasn't really hit me that I could go into labor at any given time until today/tonight. I keep telling myself that God wouldn't be so cruel, though.. because me having to drive myself and the kids to the hospital while in labor would be a sick, sick joke (but I guess a good story to tell one day). So, I think I'm really going to take it easy the rest of the evening, go get in bed, and try to go to sleep. I've been cleaning since I got home with the kids today, and I'll admit I've got pain in my hips/legs and up my back that is a little more intense than usual.

Until next Tuesday... unless we have a baby by then! :)

Busy: Part III

What a busy weekend it has been!

Friday night I got off work late, picked up Aidan, and then headed to Sylvester to visit Grandbon for her birthday! We got there kind of late, but woke up Saturday morning ready to go shopping. After Autie & Uncle Greg got to Sylvester, Aut, Flynt, Mama, me, Aidan, and Asa piled in the Explorer and took off... and we shopped until we dropped! Exhausted, Aidan and I headed back to Burnamville and crashed!

Sunday morning we slept in (until 9:30) and then Joey and I ran to Lowe's to get some stuff to work on the house... two sinks, two faucets, a light for the dining room, two lights for our bathroom, some lightswitches... you get the idea. We headed back to Nicholls and worked on the house.. and made some progress!

I'll post pictures soon, but until now I thought I'd give you an idea of the decor.. I finally decided on Aidan & Ansleigh's bedding!

Busy: Part II

So JB and I went at lunch today to pick out our flooring.. and a whole $3200 later we have decided (and cannot WAIT for Anthony to begin installation). First, though, we have to finish all the minor repairs (like holes in the walls), then priming (which we started), and then painting. We have a looooooooooong (and I mean LONG) way to go, but we're hoping to get most of it done this weekend, so maybe they can start with the floors next week.

Before they can turn the power on we have to get permits, and we needed a septic tank before that. As of the weekend we officially have running water, AND a septic tank! Woohoo! I am so excited. Not only am I excited (and proud) but I actually HELPED DO IT ALL! This whole process is turning out to be a growing experience, and it's really something that JB and I will be proud of once it's done.

Another exciting event today, I completed my FAFSA. I'm planning on going back to school, and now I am one step closer. I should hear something back from ECT soon, and from the financial aid department by next week.

Busy

So this weekend we are planning on finishing ripping up the carpet and beginning to caulk, prime, and paint the rooms in our new house! During lunch today I drove over to Carson True Value in Pearson to visit my hubby for lunch time and pick out paint colors, and ooh-wee I am excited!

Ansleigh's room is going to be the color Maui Sunset... and it is kind of peachy-orange (like the walls in the first picture below). Her bed is a white bunk bed, with a desk on one end and shelves on the other. I found a comforter (the second picture below) and I LOVE it with the Maui Sunset color.



Aidan's room is going to have three khaki walls and one blue wall... we're planning on decorating with a sports theme-- and I found an idea on potterybarn.com:

Although his crib is white (and he's not big enough for a big boy bed just yet) this is just a rough idea.. but I like it! I guess it'll all come together when we get it painted!

I'm super excited, and I'm gonna take before/after pictures this weekend to upload (maybe tomorrow) or Monday morning.
